Faye's brows raised at the dog that suddenly approached her shoes. She'd been so busy thinking about how to bring up the topic of having seen Elizabeth on new year's that the dog had escaped her notice and now she shifts, staring intently down at the pet. It was large, too. Larger than Ein.
Somehow, putting Elizabeth in the mental context of being its owner kept Faye calm.
"I didn't get stung, if that's what you're asking," she said, raising her gaze again to meet the other woman's, brow furrowing. She didn't see a reason to pretend everything was fine. There were things she'd seen that she wanted explanation for. "There were a lot of people out there fighting the bees. Some in pretty interesting ways, don't you think?"
