Elizabeth wasn't sure what to expect. She knew bad things could come of telling people, but with Newt, she apparently had little to worry about. He looked her in the eye and she believed him.
Trust never came easily. She didn't know if it ever would, but this felt like a step.
"Thank you," she said, earnestly. She didn't know what else she could say besides that. "I'm sorry you had to find out this way instead of me just being honest. I simply want to live a normal life here."
